In Kansas City, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Missouri vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 7:30 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (816) 421-7367. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, kcbrakeandautorepair.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 956 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto repair shop in Kansas City and suggests consistent service.

Kansas City is in Missouri, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Kansas City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Do not come here if you're a woman and are unfamiliar with mechanical issues, you will be ripped off and stolen from!!! I paid about $770 for two break pads, two rotors that didn't need to be replaced but was forced into because they refused to replace break pads if I didn't because β€œthey don't service break pads alone”, and one caliper to be replaced. The caliper itself cost $350 for them to provide and put a β€œnewly refurbished caliper” on my car. I trusted that they would do the work they charged me for only to realize two days later, they had put the exact same caliper that was already on my car back on my car. When I took my car back in when I got the time to do so, I was told that the caliper got rusty due to the weather two days after they put a newly refurbished one on and it was my fault. A newly refurbished β€œFVP Premium Semi-Loaded Caliper” doesn't get rusty and need to be replaced two days after being put on. My other calipers that's been on my car for YEARS isn't rusty nor in bad shape or in need of immediate repair like the β€œnewly refurbished caliper” they put on my car. When I asked if they could replace it since I had a warranty and realized it was the exact same cal

I can't say enough good things about Kevin’s KC Brake & Auto in the Crossroads! I originally took my truck to the dealership, where they told me I needed a new radiator even though I had replaced it less than two years ago. Wanting a second opinion, I brought it to Kevin’s KC Brake & Auto. Their team took the time to properly diagnose the problem and found that the radiator wasn't the issue at all. They were honest, knowledgeable, and saved me over $1,000 by fixing the actual problem instead of replacing parts I didn't need. It's hard to find mechanics you can truly trust, but Kevin’s KC Brake & Auto has earned my confidence. Their customer service was outstanding, and they treated me with honesty and respect throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy auto repair. Five stars all the way!

We've been customers of KC Brake for more than 50 years. During that time, we've always felt we were treated fairly, received good service, and paid reasonable prices. Unfortunately, our two most recent experiences have completely changed our opinion. About a year ago, we had brake work done on one of our vehicles. The price seemed a little high, but the work itself was satisfactory. The problem came when we picked up the car and found a convenience store lunch receipt inside from a location about a mile and a half away. When we mentioned it to the owner, we were told they sometimes take vehicles on test drives. While we understand the need for a test drive, driving a customer's car to get lunch is simply not acceptable. Our most recent experience was even more disappointing. Last month, the air conditioner on our Mini Cooper was blowing warm air. Since KC Brake advertises A/C service, we brought it there for repair. They added refrigerant and dye to locate a leak and charged us $463.64. We thought that was expensive compared to other estimates, but assumed it reflected their expertise. Unfortunately, the A/C only blew cold for less than a day. We returned and were given an esti

Service is first come, first served, so you have to get there early! Kevin & his team are super friendly and do great work with quick turnarounds. I even had a concern several months after my service - they immediately addressed my questions professionally and helped me out. Great, longstanding biz. I’ll go back! Highly recommended!

Had a vibration in my front end on my way up to Kansas City to visit my wife. Dropped my truck off at 8 in the morning. The called me at 10:22 to let me know my alignment was fine. I went ahead and had them rebalance and rotate my tires. Called me back again at 11:16 to say my truck was ready for pickup. Great service and very trustworthy. No appointment at all just dropped it off and they took care of me. Will definitely be my go to spot in KC. Thanks again!
